Purusha Sukta Sahita Sri Sukta Vidhana Puja

Procedure: 1. First, perform the Poorvangam । 2. Next, perform the Vigneshwara Pooja । 3. Thereafter, follow the detailed worship procedure given below । punaḥ saṅkalpam – (Take flowers and Akshata, take a drop of water in your right hand and chant the Sankalpa given below) pūrvokta evaṃ guṇaviśeṣaṇa viśiṣṭāyāṃ śubhatithau śrī______muddiśya śrī______prītyarthaṃ puruṣasūkta sahita śrīsūkta yāvacchakti dhyānāvāhanādi ṣoḍaśopacāra pūjāṃ kariṣye ॥ (After reciting this, leave the flowers and Akshata in the vessel and cleanse your hands) dhyānam – (Chant the Dhyana Shlokas of both the Devi and Devata for whom you intend to perform this worship) oṃ śrī ______ namaḥ dhyāyāmi । (Offer a few flowers and Akshata at the feet of the Lord) āvāhanam – [pu] oṃ sa̱hasra̍śīrṣā̱ puru̍ṣaḥ । sa̱ha̱srā̱kṣaḥ sa̱hasra̍pāt । sa bhūmi̍ṃ vi̱śvato̍ vṛ̱tvā । atya̍tiṣṭhaddaśāṅgu̱lam । [śrī] oṃ hira̍ṇyavarṇā̱ṃ hari̍ṇīṃ su̱varṇa̍raja̱tasra̍jām । ca̱ndrāṃ hi̱raṇma̍yīṃ la̱kṣmīṃ jāta̍vedo ma̱ āva̍ha ॥ oṃ śrī ______ namaḥ āvāhayāmi । (Offer a few flowers and Akshata at the feet of the Lord) āsanam – [pu] puru̍ṣa e̱vedagṃ sarvam̎ । yadbhū̱taṃ yacca̱ bhavyam̎ । u̱tāmṛ̍ta̱tvasyeśā̍naḥ । ya̱danne̍nāti̱roha̍ti । [śrī] tāṃ ma̱ āva̍ha̱ jāta̍vedo la̱kṣmīmana̍pagā̱minī̎m । yasyā̱ṃ hira̍ṇyaṃ vi̱ndeya̱ṃ gāmaśva̱ṃ puru̍ṣāna̱ham ॥ oṃ śrī ______ namaḥ navaratnakhacita suvarṇa siṃhāsanaṃ samarpayāmi । (With the belief that you are offering a throne to the Lord, place a few flowers and Akshata at the Lord's feet) pādyam – [pu] e̱tāvā̍nasya mahi̱mā । ato̱ jyāyāg̍śca̱ pūru̍ṣaḥ । pādo̎'sya̱ viśvā̍ bhū̱tāni̍ । tri̱pāda̍syā̱mṛta̍ṃ di̱vi । [śrī] a̱śva̱pū̱rvāṃ ra̍thama̱dhyāṃ ha̱stinā̍dapra̱bodhi̍nīm । śriya̍ṃ de̱vīmupa̍hvaye̱ śrīrmā̍de̱vīrju̍ṣatām ॥ oṃ śrī ______ namaḥ pādayoḥ pādyaṃ samarpayāmi । (With the belief that you are washing the Lord's feet, Show the water from the deity's Panchapatra to the Lord with the Udderani and leave the water in another vessel) arghyam – [pu] tri̱pādū̱rdhva udai̱tpuru̍ṣaḥ । pādo̎'sye̱hā''bha̍vā̱tpuna̍: । tato̱ viṣva̱ṅvya̍krāmat । sā̱śa̱nā̱na̱śa̱ne a̱bhi । [śrī] kā̱ṃ so̎smi̱tāṃ hira̍ṇyaprā̱kārā̍mā̱rdrāṃ jvala̍ntīṃ tṛ̱ptāṃ ta̱rpaya̍ntīm । pa̱dme̱ sthi̱tāṃ pa̱dmava̍rṇā̱ṃ tāmi̱hopa̍hvaye̱ śriyam ॥ oṃ śrī ______ namaḥ hastayoḥ arghyaṃ samarpayāmi । (With the belief that you are washing the Lord's hands, Show the water from the deity's Panchapatra to the Lord with the Udderani and leave the water in another vessel) ācamanīyam – [pu] tasmā̎dvi̱rāḍa̍jāyata । vi̱rājo̱ adhi̱ pūru̍ṣaḥ । sa jā̱to atya̍ricyata । pa̱ścādbhūmi̱matho̍ pu̱raḥ । [śrī] ca̱ndrāṃ pra̍bhā̱sāṃ ya̱śasā̱ jvala̍ntī̱ṃ śriya̍ṃ lo̱ke de̱vaju̍ṣṭāmudā̱rām । tāṃ pa̱dminī̍mī̱ṃ śara̍ṇama̱haṃ prapa̍dye'la̱kṣmīrme̍ naśyatā̱ṃ tvāṃ vṛ̍ṇe ॥ oṃ śrī ______ namaḥ mukhe ācamanīyaṃ samarpayāmi । (Show the water from the deity's Panchapatra to the Lord with the Udderani and leave the water in another vessel. Believe that the Lord has now washed his face and sipped the water) vastram – [pu] sa̱ptāsyā̍sanpari̱dhaya̍: । triḥ sa̱pta sa̱midha̍: kṛ̱tāḥ । de̱vā yadya̱jñaṃ ta̍nvā̱nāḥ । aba̍dhna̱npuru̍ṣaṃ pa̱śum । [śrī] upai̍tu̱ māṃ de̍vasa̱khaḥ kī̱rtiśca̱ maṇi̍nā sa̱ha । prā̱du̱rbhū̱to'smi̍ rāṣṭre̱'smin kī̱rtimṛ̍ddhiṃ da̱dātu̍ me ॥ oṃ śrī ______ namaḥ vastrayugmaṃ samarpayāmi । (With the belief that you are offering clothes to the Lord, Offer a few flowers and Akshata at the feet of the Lord) yajñopavītam – [pu] taṃ ya̱jñaṃ ba̱rhiṣi̱ praukṣan̍ । puru̍ṣaṃ jā̱tama̍gra̱taḥ । tena̍ de̱vā aya̍janta । sā̱dhyā ṛṣa̍yaśca̱ ye । [śrī] kṣutpi̍pā̱sāma̍lāṃ jye̱ṣṭhāma̍la̱kṣmīṃ nā̍śayā̱myaham । abhū̍ti̱masa̍mṛddhi̱ṃ ca sarvā̱ṃ nirṇu̍da me̱ gṛhā̍t ॥ oṃ śrī ______ namaḥ yajñopavītaṃ samarpayāmi । (With the belief that you are offering Yajnopavitam to the Lord, Offer Akshata at the feet of the Lord) gandham – [pu] tasmā̎dya̱jñātsa̍rva̱huta̍: । sambhṛ̍taṃ pṛṣadā̱jyam । pa̱śūgstāgśca̍kre vāya̱vyān̍ । ā̱ra̱ṇyāngrā̱myāśca̱ ye । [śrī] ga̱ndha̱dvā̱rāṃ du̍rādha̱rṣā̱ṃ ni̱tyapu̍ṣṭāṃ karī̱ṣiṇī̎m । ī̱śvarī̍gṃ sarva̍bhūtā̱nā̱ṃ tāmi̱hopa̍hvaye̱ śriyam ॥ oṃ śrī ______ namaḥ divya śrī candanaṃ samarpayāmi । (Moisten the sandalwood paste with water, sprinkle it on the Lord with a flower, and place that flower at the Lord's feet) ābharaṇam – [pu] tasmā̎dya̱jñātsa̍rva̱huta̍: । ṛca̱: sāmā̍ni jajñire । chandāg̍ṃsi jajñire̱ tasmā̎t । yaju̱stasmā̍dajāyata । [śrī] mana̍sa̱: kāma̱mākū̍tiṃ vā̱caḥ sa̱tyama̍śīmahi । pa̱śū̱nāṃ rū̱pamanna̍sya̱ mayi̱ śrīḥ śra̍yatā̱ṃ yaśa̍: ॥ oṃ śrī ______ namaḥ sarvābharaṇāni samarpayāmi । (With the belief that you are adorning the Lord with ornaments, Offer a few flowers and Akshata at the feet of the Lord) puṣpāṇi – [pu] tasmā̱daśvā̍ ajāyanta । ye ke co̍bha̱yāda̍taḥ । gāvo̍ ha jajñire̱ tasmā̎t । tasmā̎jjā̱tā a̍jā̱vaya̍: । [śrī] ka̱rdame̍na pra̍jābhū̱tā̱ ma̱yi̱ sambha̍va ka̱rdama । śriya̍ṃ vā̱saya̍ me ku̱le mā̱tara̍ṃ padma̱māli̍nīm ॥ oṃ śrī ______ namaḥ nānāvidha parimala patra puṣpāṇi samarpayāmi । (Offer a few flowers at the Lord's feet) dhūpam – [pu] yatpuru̍ṣa̱ṃ vya̍dadhuḥ । ka̱ti̱dhā vya̍kalpayan । mukha̱ṃ kima̍sya̱ kau bā̱hū । kāvū̱rū pādā̍vucyete । [śrī] āpa̍: sṛ̱jantu̍ sni̱gdhā̱ni̱ ci̱klī̱ta va̍sa me̱ gṛhe । ni ca̍ de̱vīṃ mā̱tara̱ṃ śriya̍ṃ vā̱saya̍ me ku̱le ॥ oṃ śrī ______ namaḥ dhūpaṃ samarpayāmi । (While ringing the bell, show the lit incense stick to the Lord) dīpam – [pu] brā̱hma̱ṇo̎'sya̱ mukha̍māsīt । bā̱hū rā̍ja̱nya̍: kṛ̱taḥ । ū̱rū tada̍sya̱ yadvaiśya̍: । pa̱dbhyāgṃ śū̱dro a̍jāyata । [śrī] ā̱rdrāṃ pu̱ṣkari̍ṇīṃ pu̱ṣṭi̱ṃ pi̱ṅga̱lāṃ pa̍dmamā̱linīm। ca̱ndrāṃ hi̱raṇma̍yīṃ la̱kṣmīṃ jāta̍vedo ma̱ āva̍ha ॥ oṃ śrī ______ namaḥ dīpaṃ samarpayāmi । (While ringing the bell, show the lit lamp to the Lord) dhūpa dīpānaṃtaraṃ ācamanīyaṃ samarpayāmi । (Show the water from the deity's Panchapatra to the Lord with the Udderani and leave the water in another vessel. Believe that the Lord has now washed his face and sipped the water) mantrapuṣpam – dhā̱tā pu̱rastā̱dyamu̍dāja̱hāra̍ । śa̱kraḥ pravi̱dvānpra̱diśa̱ścata̍sraḥ । tame̱vaṃ vi̱dvāna̱mṛta̍ i̱ha bha̍vati । nānyaḥ panthā̱ aya̍nāya vidyate । oṃ śrī ______ namaḥ suvarṇa divya mantrapuṣpaṃ samarpayāmi । (Offer a few flowers and Akshata at the feet of the Lord) ātmapradakṣiṇa – yānikāni ca pāpāni janmāntarakṛtāni ca tāni tāni praṇaśyanti pradakṣiṇa pade pade । pāpo'haṃ pāpakarmā'haṃ pāpātmā pāpasambhava । trāhi māṃ kṛpayā deva śaraṇāgatavatsalā । anyathā śaraṇaṃ nāsti tvameva śaraṇaṃ mama । tasmātkāruṇya bhāvena rakṣa rakṣa janārdanā । oṃ śrī ______ namaḥ ātmapradakṣiṇa namaskārān samarpayāmi । (Take Akshata and a flower, perform three self-circumambulations, and then place them at the Lord's feet) sāṣṭāṅga namaskāram – urasā śirasā dṛṣṭyā manasā vacasā tathā । padbhyāṃ karābhyāṃ karṇābhyāṃ praṇāmoṣṭāṅgamucyate ॥ oṃ śrī ______ namaḥ sāṣṭāṅga namaskārān samarpayāmi । (Men perform Sashtanga, women perform Panchanga Namaskaram) sarvopacārāḥ – oṃ śrī ______ namaḥ chatraṃ ācchādayāmi । oṃ śrī ______ namaḥ cāmarairvījayāmi । oṃ śrī ______ namaḥ nṛtyaṃ darśayāmi । oṃ śrī ______ namaḥ gītaṃ śrāvayāmi । oṃ śrī ______ namaḥ āndolikānnārohayāmi । oṃ śrī ______ namaḥ aśvānārohayāmi । oṃ śrī ______ namaḥ gajānārohayāmi । samasta rājopacārān devopacārān samarpayāmi । kṣamāprārthanā – aparādha sahasrāṇi kriyante'harniśaṃ mayā । dāso'yamiti māṃ matvā kṣamasva parameśvara । āvāhanaṃ na jānāmi na jānāmi visarjanam । pūjāvidhiṃ na jānāmi kṣamasva parameśvara । mantrahīnaṃ kriyāhīnaṃ bhaktihīnaṃ janārdana । yatpūjitaṃ mayā deva paripūrṇaṃ tadastu te । (Take a flower and Akshata, take a drop of water in the right hand, recite the above verse, and place them at the Lord's feet) anayā puruṣasūkta sahita śrīsūkta vidhāna pūrvaka dhyāna āvāhanādi ṣoḍaśopacāra pūjayā bhagavān sarvātmakaḥ śrī ______ suprītā suprasannā varadā bhavantu ॥ (Offer a few flowers and Akshata at the feet of the Lord) tīrthaprasāda svīkaraṇa – akālamṛtyaharaṇaṃ sarvavyādhinivāraṇam ॥ samastapāpakṣayakaraṃ śrī ______ pādodakaṃ pāvanaṃ śubham ॥ śrī ______ namaḥ prasādaṃ śīrasā gṛhṇāmi । (Take water in the right hand, recite the above verse and drink the Teertham three times) oṃ śāntiḥ śāntiḥ śāntiḥ ।
