Procedure:1. First, perform the Poorvangam ।2. Next, perform the Vigneshwara Pooja ।3. Believe that the Lord has now washed his face and sipped the water)madhuparkam –yamāntakāya ugrāya bhīmāya ca namo namaḥ ।madhuparka-mpradāsyāmi gṛhāṇa tvamumāpate ॥oṃ śrī umāmaheśvarābhyām namaḥ mukhe ācamanīyaṃ samarpayāmi ।(With the belief that you are offering Madhuparkam to the Lord, place a few flowers and Akshata at the Lord's feet)pañcāmṛta snānam –āpyā̍yasva̱ same̍tu te vi̱śvata̍ssoma̱ vṛṣṇi̍yam ।bhavā̱ vāja̍sya saṅga̱the ॥oṃ śrī umāmaheśvarābhyām namaḥ kṣīreṇa snapayāmi ।(Perform abhishekam with cow milk and give harati with an oil or ghee lamp)(Perform the abhishekam with water and clean the deity)da̱dhi̱krāvṇo̍ akāriṣaṃ ji̱ṣṇoraśva̍sya vā̱jina̍: ।su̱ra̱bhi no̱ mukhā̍ kara̱tprāṇa̱ āyūg̍ṃṣi tāriṣat ॥oṃ śrī umāmaheśvarābhyām namaḥ dadhnā snapayāmi ।(Perform abhishekam with cow curd and give harati with an oil or ghee lamp)(Perform the abhishekam with water and clean the deity)śu̱krama̍si̱ jyoti̍rasi̱ tejo̍si de̱vova̍ssavi̱totpu̍nā̱tuacchi̍dreṇa pa̱vitre̍ṇa̱ vaso̱ssūrya̍sya ra̱śmibhi̍: ।oṃ śrī umāmaheśvarābhyām namaḥ ājyena snapayāmi ।(Perform abhishekam with cow ghee and give harati with an oil or ghee lamp)(Perform the abhishekam with water and clean the deity)madhu̱vātā̍ ṛtāya̱te madhu̍kṣaranti̱ sindha̍vaḥ ।mādhvī̎rnaḥ sa̱ntvauṣa̍dhīḥ ।madhu̱nakta̍mu̱toṣa̍si̱ madhu̍ma̱t pārthi̍va̱g̱ṃraja̍: ।madhu̱dyaura̍stu naḥ pi̱tā ।madhu̍mānno̱ vana̱spati̱rmadhu̍māgṃ astu̱ sūrya̍: ।mādhvī̱rgāvo̍ bhavantu naḥ ।oṃ śrī umāmaheśvarābhyām namaḥ madhunā snapayāmi ।(Perform abhishekam with honey and give harati with an oil or ghee lamp)(Perform the abhishekam with water and clean the deity)svā̱duḥ pa̍vasva di̱vyāya̱ janma̍ne ।svā̱durindrā̎ya su̱havī̎tu nāmne ।svā̱durmi̱trāya̱ varu̍ṇāya vā̱yave̱ ।bṛha̱spata̍ye̱ madhu̍mā̱ṃ adā̎bhyaḥ ।oṃ śrī umāmaheśvarābhyām namaḥ śarkareṇa snapayāmi ।(Perform abhishekam with sugar and give harati with an oil or ghee lamp)(Perform the abhishekam with water and clean the deity)yāḥ pha̱linī̱ryā a̍pha̱lā a̍pu̱ṣpāyāśca̍ pu̱ṣpiṇī̍: ।bṛha̱spati̍ prasūtā̱stāno̍ munca̱ntvagṃ ha̍saḥ ॥oṃ śrī umāmaheśvarābhyām namaḥ phalodakena snapayāmi ।(Perform abhishekam with fruit juice and give harati with an oil or ghee lamp)(Perform the abhishekam with water and clean the deity)snānam –āpo̱ hiṣṭhā ma̍yo̱bhuva̱stā na̍ ū̱rje da̍dhātana ।ma̱heraṇā̍ya̱ cakṣa̍se ।yo va̍: śi̱vata̍mo rasa̱stasya̍ bhājayate̱ ha na̍: ।u̱śa̱tīri̍va mā̱ta̍raḥ ।tasmā̱ ara̍ṅgamāmavo̱ yasya̱ kṣayā̍ya̱ jinva̍tha ।āpo̍ ja̱naya̍thā ca naḥ ।oṃ śrī umāmaheśvarābhyām namaḥ śuddhodaka snānaṃ samarpayāmi ।(Sprinkle the water from the deity's Panchapatra on the Lord with a flower, place that flower at the Lord's feet and believe you have bathed him)snānānantaraṃ śuddha ācamanīyaṃ samarpayāmi ।(Show the water from the deity's Panchapatra to the Lord with the Udderani and leave the water in another vessel. Believe that the Lord has now washed his face and sipped the water)vastram –(o-ñjye̱ṣṭhāya̱ namaḥ)namo nāgavibhūṣāya nāradādi stutāya ca ।vastrayugma-mpradāsyāmi pārthiveśvara svīkuru ॥oṃ śrī umāmaheśvarābhyām namaḥ vastrayugmaṃ samarpayāmi ।(With the belief that you are offering clothes to the Lord, Offer a few flowers and Akshata at the feet of the Lord)yajñopavītam –(oṃ śre̱ṣṭhāya̱ namaḥ)yajñeśa yajñavidhvaṃsa sarvadeva namaskṛta ।yajñasūtra-mpradāsyāmi śobhana-ñcottarīyakam ॥oṃ śrī umāmaheśvarābhyām namaḥ yajñopavītaṃ samarpayāmi ।(With the belief that you are offering Yajnopavitam to the Lord, Offer Akshata at the feet of the Lord)ābharaṇam –(oṃ ru̱drāya̱ namaḥ)nāgābharaṇa viśveśa candrārdhakṛtamastaka ।pārthiveśvara maddatta-ṅgṛhāṇābharaṇaṃ-vim̐bho ॥oṃ śrī umāmaheśvarābhyām namaḥ sarvābharaṇāni samarpayāmi ।(With the belief that you are adorning the Lord with ornaments, Offer a few flowers and Akshata at the feet of the Lord)gandham –(o-ṅkālā̍ya̱ nama̍ḥ)śrī gandha-nte prayacchāmi gṛhāṇa parameśvara ।kastūri kuṅkumopetaṃ śivāśliṣṭa bhujadvaya ॥oṃ śrī umāmaheśvarābhyām namaḥ divya śrī candanaṃ samarpayāmi ।(Moisten the sandalwood paste with water, sprinkle it on the Lord with a flower, and place that flower at the Lord's feet)akṣatān – (o-ṅkala̍vikaraṇāya̱ namaḥ)akṣatā-ndhavalā-ndivyān śāli tuṇḍula miśritān ।akṣatosi svabhāvena svīkuruṣva maheśvara ॥oṃ śrī umāmaheśvarābhyām namaḥ akṣatān samarpayāmi ।(Offer a few Akshata at the Lord's feet)puṣpāṇi –(o-mbala̍ vikaraṇāya̱ namaḥ)sugandhīni supuṣpāṇi jājībilvārka campakaiḥ ।nirmita-mpuṣpamālañca nīlakaṇṭha gṛhāṇa bho ॥oṃ śrī umāmaheśvarābhyām namaḥ nānāvidha parimala patra puṣpāṇi samarpayāmi ।(Offer a few flowers at the Lord's feet)aṣṭottara śata nāmāvalī –(Offer one flower to the Lord for each naama, If flowers are not available, use Akshata instead)oṃ śivāya namaḥoṃ maheśvarāya namaḥoṃ śaṃbhave namaḥoṃ pinākine namaḥoṃ śaśiśekharāya namaḥoṃ vāmadevāya namaḥoṃ virūpākṣāya namaḥoṃ kapardine namaḥoṃ nīlalohitāya namaḥoṃ śaṃkarāya namaḥ ।10।oṃ śūlapāṇaye namaḥoṃ khaṭvāṃgine namaḥoṃ viṣṇuvallabhāya namaḥoṃ śipiviṣṭāya namaḥoṃ aṃbikānāthāya namaḥoṃ śrīkaṃṭhāya namaḥoṃ bhaktavatsalāya namaḥoṃ bhavāya namaḥoṃ śarvāya namaḥoṃ trilokeśāya namaḥ ।20।oṃ śitikaṃṭhāya namaḥoṃ śivāpriyāya namaḥoṃ ugrāya namaḥoṃ kapāline namaḥoṃ kāmāraye namaḥoṃ aṃdhakāsura sūdanāya namaḥoṃ gaṃgādharāya namaḥoṃ lalāṭākṣāya namaḥoṃ kālakālāya namaḥoṃ kṛpānidhaye namaḥ ।30।oṃ bhīmāya namaḥoṃ paraśuhastāya namaḥoṃ mṛgapāṇaye namaḥoṃ jaṭādharāya namaḥoṃ kailāsavāsine namaḥoṃ kavacine namaḥoṃ kaṭhorāya namaḥoṃ tripurāṃtakāya namaḥoṃ vṛṣāṃkāya namaḥoṃ vṛṣabhārūḍhāya namaḥ ।40।oṃ bhasmoddhūlita vigrahāya namaḥoṃ sāmapriyāya namaḥoṃ svaramayāya namaḥoṃ trayīmūrtaye namaḥoṃ anīśvarāya namaḥoṃ sarvajñāya namaḥoṃ paramātmane namaḥoṃ somasūryāgni locanāya namaḥoṃ haviṣe namaḥoṃ yajñamayāya namaḥ ।50।oṃ somāya namaḥoṃ paṃcavaktrāya namaḥoṃ sadāśivāya namaḥoṃ viśveśvarāya namaḥoṃ vīrabhadrāya namaḥoṃ gaṇanāthāya namaḥoṃ prajāpataye namaḥoṃ hiraṇyaretase namaḥoṃ durdharṣāya namaḥoṃ girīśāya namaḥ ।60।oṃ giriśāya namaḥoṃ anaghāya namaḥoṃ bhujaṃga bhūṣaṇāya namaḥoṃ bhargāya namaḥoṃ giridhanvane namaḥoṃ giripriyāya namaḥoṃ kṛttivāsase namaḥoṃ purārātaye namaḥoṃ bhagavate namaḥoṃ pramathādhipāya namaḥ ।70।oṃ mṛtyuṃjayāya namaḥoṃ sūkṣmatanave namaḥoṃ jagadvyāpine namaḥoṃ jagadgurave namaḥoṃ vyomakeśāya namaḥoṃ mahāsena janakāya namaḥoṃ cāruvikramāya namaḥoṃ rudrāya namaḥoṃ bhūtapataye namaḥoṃ sthāṇave namaḥ ।80।oṃ ahirbudhnyāya namaḥoṃ digaṃbarāya namaḥoṃ aṣṭamūrtaye namaḥoṃ anekātmane namaḥoṃ sāttvikāya namaḥoṃ śuddhavigrahāya namaḥoṃ śāśvatāya namaḥoṃ khaṃḍaparaśave namaḥoṃ ajāya namaḥoṃ pāśavimocakāya namaḥ ।90।oṃ mṛḍāya namaḥoṃ paśupataye namaḥoṃ devāya namaḥoṃ mahādevāya namaḥoṃ avyayāya namaḥoṃ haraye namaḥoṃ pūṣadaṃtabhide namaḥoṃ avyagrāya namaḥoṃ dakṣādhvaraharāya namaḥoṃ harāya namaḥ ।100।oṃ bhaganetrabhide namaḥoṃ avyaktāya namaḥoṃ sahasrākṣāya namaḥoṃ sahasrapāde namaḥoṃ apavargapradāya namaḥoṃ anaṃtāya namaḥoṃ tārakāya namaḥoṃ parameśvarāya namaḥ ।108।dhūpam –(o-mbalā̍ya̱ namaḥ)daśāṅgaṃ dhūpamukhyaṃ ca hyaṅgāra viniveśitam ।dhūpaṃ sugandhairutpannaṃ tvāṃ prīṇayatu śaṅkara ॥oṃ śrī umāmaheśvarābhyām namaḥ dhūpaṃ samarpayāmi ।(While ringing the bell, show the lit incense stick to the Lord)dīpam –(o-mbala̍ pramathanāya̱ namaḥ)yogināṃ hṛdayeṣveva jñāna dīpāṅkurohyasi ।bāhya dīpo mayādattaḥ gṛhyatāṃ bhakta gauravāt ॥oṃ śrī umāmaheśvarābhyām namaḥ dīpaṃ samarpayāmi ।(While ringing the bell, show the lit lamp to the Lord)dhūpa dīpānaṃtaraṃ ācamanīyaṃ samarpayāmi ।(Show the water from the deity's Panchapatra to the Lord with the Udderani and leave the water in another vessel. Believe that the Lord has now washed his face and sipped the water)naivedyam –(oṃ sarva̍ bhūta damanāya̱ namaḥ)naivedyaṃ ṣaḍrasopetaṃ ghṛta bhakṣya samanvitam ।bhaktyā te sampradāsyāmi gṛhāṇa parameśvara ॥oṃ śrī umāmaheśvarābhyām namaḥ naivedyaṃ samarpayāmi ।(While ringing the bell and chanting the mantra below, sprinkle water with a flower 3 times clockwise around the Naivedya)oṃ bhūrbhuva̍ssuva̍: । tatsa̍vitu̱rvare̎ṇya̱m । bha̱rgo̍ de̱vasya̍ dhī̱mahi ।dhiyo̱ yona̍: praco̱dayā̎t ॥satyaṃ tvā ṛtena pariṣiñcāmi (Sprinkle water on the Naivedya with a flower)(sāyaṅkāle) – ṛtaṃ tvā satyena pariṣiñcāmi (Sprinkle water on the Naivedya with a flower)amṛtamastu । amṛtopastaraṇamasi । (Place that flower at the feet of the Lord)oṃ prāṇāya svāhā । (Show the Naivedya to the Lord with Udderani)oṃ apānāya svāhā । (Show the Naivedya to the Lord with Udderani)oṃ vyānāya svāhā । (Show the Naivedya to the Lord with Udderani)oṃ udānāya svāhā । (Show the Naivedya to the Lord with Udderani)oṃ samānāya svāhā । (Show the Naivedya to the Lord with Udderani)(While chanting the mantras below, sprinkle water on the deity 5 times with a flower)madhye madhye pānīyaṃ samarpayāmi । a̱mṛ̱tā̱pi̱dhā̱nama̍si ।uttarāpośanaṃ samarpayāmi । hastau prakṣālayāmi । pādau prakṣālayāmi । śuddhācamanīyaṃ samarpayāmi ।tāmbūlam –(o-mma̱nonma̍nāya̱ namaḥ)tāmbūlaṃ bhavatāṃ deva arpayāmyadya śaṅkara ।pūgīphala samāyuktaṃ nāgavallī dalairyutam ॥oṃ śrī umāmaheśvarābhyām namaḥ tāmbūlaṃ samarpayāmi ।(With the belief that you are offering Tambulam to the Lord, place a few flowers and Akshata at at the feet of the Lord)nīrājanam –śrī śaṃbha̍ve̱ nama̍ḥ ॥nama̍ste astu bhagavan-viśveśva̱rāya̍ mahāde̱vāya̍ tryaṃba̱kāya̍ tripurāṃta̱kāya̍ trikāgnikā̱lāya̍ kālāgniru̱drāya̍ nīlaka̱ṃṭhāya̍ mṛtyuṃja̱yāya̍ sarveśva̱rāya̍ sadāśi̱vāya̍ [śaṃka̱rāya̍] śrīman-mahāde̱vāya̱ nama̍ḥ ।oṃ śrī umāmaheśvarābhyām namaḥ karpūra nīrājanaṃ samarpayāmi ।(While ringing the bell, perform camphor Aarati to the Lord)nīrājanānantaraṃ śuddhācamanīyaṃ samarpayāmi । namaskaromi ।(Show the water from the deity's Panchapatra to the Lord with the Udderani and leave the water in another vessel. Believe that the Lord has now washed his face and sipped the water)mantrapuṣpam –oṃ tatpuruṣāya vidmahe mahādevāya dhīmahi tanno rudraḥ pracodayāt ।oṃ śrī umāmaheśvarābhyām namaḥ suvarṇa divya mantrapuṣpaṃ samarpayāmi ।(Offer a few flowers and Akshata at the feet of the Lord)ātmapradakṣiṇa –yānikāni ca pāpāni janmāntarakṛtāni catāni tāni praṇaśyanti pradakṣiṇa pade pade ।pāpo'haṃ pāpakarmā'haṃ pāpātmā pāpasambhava ।trāhi māṃ kṛpayā deva śaraṇāgatavatsalā ।anyathā śaraṇaṃ nāsti tvameva śaraṇaṃ mama ।tasmātkāruṇya bhāvena rakṣa rakṣa janārdanā ।oṃ śrī umāmaheśvarābhyām namaḥ ātmapradakṣiṇa namaskārān samarpayāmi ।(Take Akshata and a flower, perform three self-circumambulations, and then place them at the Lord's feet)sāṣṭāṅga namaskāram –urasā śirasā dṛṣṭyā manasā vacasā tathā ।padbhyāṃ karābhyāṃ karṇābhyāṃ praṇāmoṣṭāṅgamucyate ॥oṃ śrī umāmaheśvarābhyām namaḥ sāṣṭāṅga namaskārān samarpayāmi ।(Men perform Sashtanga, women perform Panchanga Namaskaram)sarvopacārāḥ –oṃ śrī umāmaheśvarābhyām namaḥ chatraṃ ācchādayāmi ।oṃ śrī umāmaheśvarābhyām namaḥ cāmarairvījayāmi ।oṃ śrī umāmaheśvarābhyām namaḥ nṛtyaṃ darśayāmi ।oṃ śrī umāmaheśvarābhyām namaḥ gītaṃ śrāvayāmi ।oṃ śrī umāmaheśvarābhyām namaḥ āndolikānnārohayāmi ।oṃ śrī umāmaheśvarābhyām namaḥ aśvānārohayāmi ।oṃ śrī umāmaheśvarābhyām namaḥ gajānārohayāmi ।samasta rājopacārān devopacārān samarpayāmi ।kṣamāprārthanā –aparādha sahasrāṇi kriyante'harniśaṃ mayā ।dāso'yamiti māṃ matvā kṣamasva parameśvara ।āvāhanaṃ na jānāmi na jānāmi visarjanam ।pūjāvidhiṃ na jānāmi kṣamasva parameśvara ।mantrahīnaṃ kriyāhīnaṃ bhaktihīnaṃ janārdana ।yatpūjitaṃ mayā deva paripūrṇaṃ tadastu te ।(Take a flower and Akshata, take a drop of water in the right hand, recite the above verse, and place them at the Lord's feet)anayā dhyāna āvāhanādi ṣoḍaśopacāra pūjayā bhagavān sarvātmakaḥ śrī umāmaheśvara suprītā suprasannā varadā bhavantu ॥(Offer a few flowers and Akshata at the feet of the Lord)tīrthaprasāda svīkaraṇa –akālamṛtyaharaṇaṃ sarvavyādhinivāraṇam ॥samastapāpakṣayakaraṃ śrī parameśvara pādodakaṃ pāvanaṃ śubham ॥śrī umāmaheśvarābhyām namaḥ prasādaṃ śīrasā gṛhṇāmi ।(Take water in the right hand, recite the above verse and drink the Teertham three times)oṃ śāntiḥ śāntiḥ śāntiḥ ।
