Vivaha Panchami commemorates the celestial wedding of Lord Rama and Goddess Sita. It is observed on the fifth day of the Shukla Paksha in the month of Margashirsha. The festival is celebrated with immense fervor in Janakpur and Mithila.

Recitation: Reciting of the Ramcharitmanas, specifically the sections describing the wedding ceremony. 3. Processions: Grand wedding processions are taken out in various cities. 4. Fasting: Many devotees observe a fast and offer special sweets to the divine couple.
