Observed on the twelfth day of Ashadha Shukla Paksha. Marks the end of Gauri Vrat and is dedicated to Vishnu in his Vasudeva form.
This day marks the transition into the more intense spiritual months of the monsoon. It is dedicated to the parents of Lord Krishna and the Lord himself as the all-pervading divinity.
1. Krishna Puja: Worshipping the Lord with Tulsi leaves, fresh flowers, and incense. 2. Fasting: Observing a partial or full fast to purify the body and mind. 3. Offering: Traditional sweets and milk products are offered as Naivedya.
