Tulsidas Jayanti commemorates the birth of the saint-poet Goswami Tulsidas, who is revered for his immense contribution to Hindi literature and his deep devotion to Lord Rama. It is celebrated on the seventh day of the Shukla Paksha in Shravana.
Significance:
Tulsidas is best known for composing the Ramcharitmanas, making the story of Rama accessible to the common person in the Awadhi language. His works emphasize the path of Bhakti (devotion) and continue to inspire millions with their spiritual depth and poetic beauty.
Rituals & Puja Vidhi:
1. Recitation: Collective reading of the Ramcharitmanas and the Hanuman Chalisa in temples. 2. Devotional Music: Organizing Bhajans and Kirtans dedicated to Lord Rama. 3.
