About

Tulasi Vivah is the ceremonial marriage of the Tulasi plant (holy basil) to Lord Vishnu, often represented by a Shaligrama stone or a Krishna idol. It marks the end of the monsoon season and the beginning of the wedding season.

Significance:

Goddess Tulasi is considered the most beloved of Lord Vishnu. The marriage symbolizes the union of the soul with the divine and is believed to bring marital bliss and the removal of obstacles in finding a life partner.

Rituals & Puja Vidhi:

1. Mandap: The Tulasi plant is placed in a beautifully decorated canopy. 2. Wedding Rituals: All the rituals of a traditional Hindu wedding, including the exchange of vows, are performed. 3. Offerings: Sugarcane, amla (gooseberry), and seasonal fruits are offered to the divine couple. 4. Aarti: Grand evening Aarti is performed, accompanied by the recitation of sacred wedding hymns.
