Shraddha ceremony for those deceased on Purnima; observed during Pitru Paksha at Aparahna (afternoon).

Significance:

Pitru Paksha is a sacred period dedicated to honoring one's ancestors. It is believed that performing these rites allows the souls of the departed to find peace and receive divine grace. It is an expression of gratitude to the lineage.

Rituals & Puja Vidhi:

1. Tarpan: Offering water mixed with black sesame seeds and flowers to the ancestors. 2. Pinda Daan: Offering symbolic rice balls as nourishment for the departed souls. 3. Charity: Donating food and essentials to the needy in the name of the ancestors.
