Radha Kunda Snan takes place on the same day as Ahoi Ashtami. It is one of the most sacred bathing rituals for the followers of the Vaishnava tradition.
Radha Kunda is believed to be the personification of Radha's love for Krishna. Taking a dip at midnight is said to cleanse the soul of all impurities and grant the highest form of divine love. It is also particularly significant for childless couples who seek the grace of the divine couple.
1. Midnight Bath: Performing the holy dip at the 'Nishita' kaal (midnight) in the sacred pond. 2. Kunda Puja: Offering lamps, flowers, and specialized pumpkins (Kushmanda) to the Kunda. 3. Circumambulation: Performing 'Parikrama' around the Radha Kunda and Syama Kunda with devotion. 4. Recitation: Constant recitation of the holy names of Radha and Krishna throughout the night.
