Padmanabha Dwadashi is observed on the twelfth day of the Shukla Paksha in Aswayuja. It is a highly auspicious day for the worship of Lord Vishnu as the one who has the cosmic lotus (Padma) in his navel (Nabha).
This form of Vishnu represents the source of creation. Worshipping the Lord on this day is believed to bring prosperity, fulfillment of desires, and spiritual liberation (Moksha). It is an ideal day for beginning new spiritual practices.
1. Vishnu Abhishekam: Performing a ritual bath for the Lord with milk and water. 2. Fasting: Devotees observe a fast (Vrat) and break it the following morning after Dwadashi Parana. 3. Recitation: Reciting the 'Vishnu Sahasranama' and 'Padmanabha Stotram'. 4. Charity: Donating food and essentials to the community as a mark of devotion.
