About

Mangala Gauri Vrat is a sacred observance held on every Tuesday of the month of Shravana. It is primarily observed by newly married women for the health, long life, and prosperity of their husbands.

Significance:

The vrat is dedicated to Goddess Gauri, the embodiment of Shakti and the ideal of marital devotion. It is believed to bless the household with harmony and protect the well-being of the family.

Rituals & Puja Vidhi:

1. Installation: A small image or idol of Goddess Gauri is placed on a pedestal. 2. Shodashopachara Puja: The Goddess is worshipped with flowers, vermilion, turmeric, and sweets. 3. Vrat Katha: Women gather to listen to the stories and legends associated with Mangala Gauri. 4. Fasting: A partial fast is observed where devotees eat simple, saltless food once a day.
