Madhvacharya Jayanti commemorates the birth of the great philosopher and saint Shri Madhvacharya. It is celebrated on Vijayadashami, the tenth day of the Shukla Paksha in Aswayuja.
Shri Madhvacharya is the founder of the Dvaita (dualism) philosophy, which emphasizes the eternal distinction between the individual soul and the Supreme Being (Lord Vishnu). His life and works have deeply influenced the Bhakti movement and Vedic scholarship.
1. Madhva Puja: Worshipping the saint with offerings of flowers, fruits, and sacred texts. 2. Discourses: Participating in scholarly debates and lectures on Dvaita Vedanta. 3. Recitation: Reciting the 'Dvadasa Stotra' and 'Vayu Stuti' composed by the saint. 4. Procession: Organizing spiritual processions (Ratha Yatre) in his honor, especially in Udupi.
