Lalitha Panchami, also known as Upang Lalita Vrat, is observed on the fifth day of Sharad Navaratri. It is dedicated to Goddess Lalita Tripura Sundari, who represents the ultimate power and beauty of the universe.
Significance:
The goddess is believed to have appeared on this day to restore cosmic order. Worshipping her brings marital harmony, inner peace, and spiritual enlightenment. She is the supreme Mother Goddess and the source of all auspiciousness.
Rituals & Puja Vidhi:
1. Lalita Puja: Worshipping the Goddess with red flowers and specialized stotras. 2. Recitation: Reciting the 'Lalita Sahasranama' (thousand names of the Goddess) and 'Lalita Trishati'. 3. Fasting: Devotees observe a fast and break it in the evening after the main puja rituals. 4. Charity: Offering gifts and food to young girls as a manifestation of the Goddess.
