About

Kalki Jayanti marks the birth anniversary of Lord Kalki, who is prophesied to appear at the end of the Kali Yuga to restore Dharma and usher in the Satya Yuga. It is traditionally observed on the sixth day of the Shukla Paksha in the month of Shravana.

Significance:

Lord Kalki is the only avatar of Vishnu whose appearance is awaited. His arrival signifies the ultimate victory of righteousness over evil and the renewal of the cosmic cycle. Devotees observe this day with hope, focusing on spiritual purification and seeking forgiveness for past sins.

Rituals & Puja Vidhi:

1. Fasting: Many devotees observe a full-day fast to seek the Lord's grace. 2. Vishnu Puja: Performing a detailed worship of Lord Vishnu, often washing the idol with Panchamrit. 3. Recitation: Reciting the Vishnu Sahasranama 108 times. 4. Scripture Reading: Reading portions of the Srimad Bhagavatam or Puranas that describe the Kalki avatar.
