About

Kali Chaudas is observed on the fourteenth day of the Krishna Paksha in Aswayuja, one day before Diwali. It is dedicated to Goddess Kali, the fierce protector.

Significance:

The day is focused on destroying negative energies, both internal and external. It is a time for spiritual cleansing and seeking the strength to overcome obstacles. In many traditions, it also commemorates the victory over the demon Narakasura.

Rituals & Puja Vidhi:

1. Nishita Puja: Worshipping Goddess Kali at midnight with specialized offerings and lamps. 2. Abhyang Snan: Taking a ritual bath before sunrise with oils and herbal pastes to purify the body. 3. Protection: Tying sacred threads or performing rituals to ward off negative influences.
