Shani Trayodashi, also known as Shani Pradosha, occurs when Trayodashi tithi coincides with a Saturday during the Pradosha (twilight) period.
Significance:
This day is exceptionally powerful for seeking relief from the malefic effects of Shani (Saturn). Worshipping Lord Shiva on Shani Pradosha is believed to please Shani Dev as well, bringing peace, stability, and the removal of karmic hurdles.
Rituals & Puja Vidhi:
1. Shiva Puja: Performing Abhishekam to the Shiva Linga during the Pradosha Kaal. 2. Shani Puja: Offering black sesame seeds, mustard oil lamps, and black clothes to Shani Dev. 3. Recitation: Reciting the 'Shani Mahatmya' and 'Shiva Sahasranama'. 4. Fasting: Observing a fast from sunrise until the completion of the evening puja.
