About

Masika Shivaratri is the monthly night of Shiva, observed on the fourteenth day of the Krishna Paksha. It is a time for deep meditation and the union of the individual soul with the supreme.

Significance:

Just like the great Maha Shivaratri, this monthly observance is a powerful time for spiritual awakening and the destruction of ego. It symbolizes the night when Lord Shiva performed the cosmic dance of creation, preservation, and destruction.

Rituals & Puja Vidhi:

1. Abhishekam: Performing ritual bathing of the Shiva Linga with the five sacred substances (Panchamrita). 2. Night Vigil: Staying awake in prayer (Jagran) and meditating on the formless aspect of the divine. 3. Recitation: Reciting 'Om Namah Shivaya' and the 'Shiva Mahimna Stotram' throughout the night. 4. Fasting: Observing a strict fast and breaking it only the following morning after the morning puja.
